Youth 7-12 yrs: 10:00 AM-11:00 AM
Adults/Senior Youth 13+yrs: 11:00 AM-Noon
Tuesdays
Samurai’s 4-6 yrs: 4:30-5:00 PM
Youth 7-12 yrs: 5:00-6:00 PM
Adults/Youth 12yrs +: 6-7 PM
Thursdays
Samurai’s 4-6 yrs: 4:30-5:00 PM
Youth 7-12 yrs: 5:00-6:00 PM (Parents are welcome to train with their kids)
Adults & Advanced belts 13+: 6:00-7:00 PM
Pricing
All fees are based on a monthly rate. Post-dated cheques (6 months in advance) are mandatory. A $15 late fee will apply.
Samurai’s: 2 days/week – $70, 1 day/week – $50
Youth: 3 days/week – $120, 2 days/week – $100, 1 day/week – $70
Adult: Unlimited – $150, 3 days/week – $130, 2 days/week – $115, 1 day/week – $80
Family rate: $65 for each additional family member (Regular rate for the first family member)
Drop in fee: $20 for Youth & Adults, $15 for Samurai’s, maximum 2 drop in classes/month
Karate BC Fee- depends on belt colour –approx $35.00 youth, $55 adult.
Payable after 3 classes for insurance purposes directly to Karate BC.
KSI Fee -$25.00 payable in January
We will require 30 days notice on withdrawal of a student.
Gift Certificates for Private Classes
Single class for $50.00
Five classes for $225.00
Ten classes for $425.00
They include one-on-one training and a feedback session.
Instructor: Sensei David Bentley
Sensei Bentley is the Chief Canadian Instructor for Shukokai in Western Canada. He currently holds Rokudan (6th Dan Black Belt)and has been training with the Shukokai style for 37 years and an instructor for 32 years. He’s competed at international level for both England and Canada.
Sensei Bentley is a certified National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) coach and instructor, a certified fit4defense instructor as well as First Aid certified and has had many successful clubs in England, Ontario and British Columbia.His most recent achievements include Sports Psychology Certification 2006, Karate BC Coach of the Year 2007, a silver medal for Canada in kumite (sparring) at the KSI World Championships in 2008, a bronze in kumite at the KSI World Championships in 2010, and a silver medal in kumite at the KSI World Championships in 2016.
Instructor: Sensei Kristina Bentley
Kristina started training in 2012 and currently holds the rank of Nidan (2nd Dan) Kristina is the Administrator / Coordinator for Kimura Shukokai Karate Canada West. She has also been the official coach for Canada West for the last 2 World Tournaments in Berlin Germany 2016 and Stockholm Sweden in 2018. She currently assists Sensei David Bentley at both the Brentwood Bay and Deep Cove dojo’s.
